Hanna Snailham - Falmouth Graduate

Hanna Snailham has kindly allowed me to show you her 'Olaudah Jumper' from her final knitwear collection having graduated from Falmouth School of Art and Design.

She used Serenity Super Chunky in "Tarmac" and "Jet" within her collection and I am sure you will agree this design is stunning. 

We wish Hanna all the best for her future career.

A-HA - an archive find!

You just never know what and whom you will come across in our fabulous archive library here.  Yesterday we found a knitting pattern in Family Choice.  We are unsure which year it was featured but it caused a "stir" in the office!

Graduates Final Collection - Twilley's of Stamford - Freedom Wool

Sophie Adamson of Heriot-Watt University of Textiles and Design used Twilley's Freedom Wool in her final collection called "Mutter Vogel" meaning Mother Bird. 

She will also be at New Designers from 29th June - 2nd July on stand T38, which is at the Islington Design Centre and is well worth the visit.

She has kindly allowed me to use a photograph of her final show and we wish Sophie well in her future career

UKHKA - Stoneleigh Show - 15th-16th May 2011

We had a successful show at Stoneleigh Park and our new yarns and design collections were very well received.

I recently posted news of our Norse Chunky and Osprey Aran yarns and these are now on our website http://www.tbramsden.co.uk/yarnlist.asp?brand=Wendy.  There is design support in the form of a new booklet and leaflets and I will let you know once these are on the website.

Twilley's of Stamford launched their new Purity colours (Peat and Limestone) and five leaflets will be available shortly.  Very exciting designs - my favourite is a 'slash' effect sweater.

Wendy's new Expresso continues to be well received - a fashion scarf that doesn't need needles - just your hands!

And we at Thomas B Ramsden are pleased to announce the launch of our new Shade Book 2011/12.

Apologies - Missed blogging!

I will apologise for the lack of blogging lately but I do have a good reason!  We have been redesigning our new Shade Book 2011/2012 and its taken 2 months hard work but we are very pleased to say that its being printed as I type.

We will be at Stoneleigh Park for the UK Hand Knitting Association's Second Knit Show: 15th - 16th May 2011.  The Thomas Ramsden Group is very much looking forward to attending and showing all our new yarns and support designs - plus said Shade Book.
