There is a small pattern errata on this leaflet on Chart 2 - line 7 please add two crosses to either side of the existing cross in the middle of the row.

13^th row – P6, C5B, P17.

14^th row – as 2^nd row.

15^th row – P6, K5, P4, place remaining 13 sts on a holder, turn and work on 15 sts only.

20^th row – as 16^th row.

Put 15 sts just worked on a second holder and rejoin yarn to other 13 sts left on first holder.

Work in reverse st st for 5 rows.

Thumb hole made.

Put all 28 sts on a holder.

** Pick up 8 sts across thumb hole.

Rejoin yarn to 28 sts left on holder.

 

LEFT

Work rib as given for right mitten

1^st row – K1, M1, [K4, M1] five times, K1. 28 sts.

15^th row – Slip first 13 sts onto a holder then P4, K5, P6 (work on these 13 sts only).

16^th row – K6, P5, K4.

17^th row – P4, K2, MB, K2, P6.

19^th row – P4, K5, P6.

20^th row – as 16^th row.

Put 15 sts just worked onto a second holder and rejoin yarn to other 13 sts left on a holder.

Put all 28 sts on a holder.

Work from ** to *** on right mitten.

Rejoin yarn to 28 sts left on holder.

1^st row – P17, C5B, P6.

3^rd row – P15, K5, P6.

7^th row – as 3^rd row.

9^th row – P1, P2tog, P6, P2tog, P1, P2tog, P3, C5B, P3, P2tog, P1. 24 sts

Second page, HEEL, bottom of this paragraph, after working end of needle.

 

Take out:-           Pull tight and fasten off securely.

And insert:-        Cut off yarn, leaving a long tail. Using sewing needle, insert yarn through first st on front needle then through first st on other needle continue taking sts alternately from each needle. Gather slightly and fasten securely.
